Sandie Shaw in conversation with MOJO

A 60s icon, 70s diva, 80s heroine and 90s creative guru, Sandie Shaw is perhaps the ultimate 21st century woman. She had her first No 1 at seventeen with ‘(There’s) Always Something There To Remind Me’ and went on to become one of the most successful female singers of the 60s and 70s. After collaborating with The Smiths in the mid eighties, she dabbled in acting, modelling and fashion design before founding an arts clinic providing psychotherapy and creative development for women in the media. In a rare interview with MOJO’s Lucy O'Brien she talks about everything from her extensive back catalogue to her thoughts on modern music, feminism and living in France.
