Afternoon Tea with Wendy Cope
Join Wendy Cope for a cuppa, a cucumber sandwich and a piece of cake, while Wendy reads a hilariously dissatisfied and ironic set either side of tea, with a question and answer session to round off. Wendy’s first two poetry collections 'Making Cocoa For Kingsley Amis' and 'Serious Concerns' have both sold over 100,000 copies and 'If I Don’t Know', published in 2001, was both a Poetry Society recomnnedation and nominated for the Whitbread Poetry Prize. Radio 4’s 'Poetry Please' listeners voted her their No.1 choice for Poet Laureate.
"A fresh approach to poetry reading from the quiet phenomenon who has proved quality can be popular."
