Carol Hamilton & Geraldine Green
Carol Hamilton is a writer and storyteller born in Enid, Oklahoma. She taught in the English Department of Rose State College for 10 years and 7 years on the graduate faculty of the Creative Studies Division of the English Department for the University of Central Oklahoma. She translates for an Oklahoma City health clinic for women and children and often goes as a translator for medical teams working in Third World countries.
She was Poet Laureate of Oklahoma 1995-97 and received the Oklahoma Book Award for a chapbook of poetry, Once the Dust, in 1992. She received a Southwest Book Award in 1988 for a children’s novel, The Dawn Seekers and a Cherubim Award for another children’s novel, The Mystery of Black Mesa. Other published books are Breaking Bread, Breaking Silence (Winner of the Chiron Chapbook Award, 2000); Gold: Greatest Hits (Pudding House Invitational Series); I, People of the Llano and Vanishing Point (Editor's Choice Chapbook from Main Street Rag Press). She has also published stories, articles and poetry in numerous magazines.
She has won the Byline Literary Awards for both short story and poetry and has been nominated three times for a Pushcart Prize. She received the David Ray Poetry Award in 2000 and the 2002 Warren Keith Wright Prize for Poetry. http://www.carolhamilton.org

Geraldine Green’s first collection The Skin was published in 2003. Her second collection Passio, was published in 2006, (both Flarestack). She has read in Italy, America, Greece the UK, her work has appeared in magazines and anthologies in these countries. She has an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction). In October 2006 she began a PhD (Creative Writing, Poetry) at Lancaster University.
Geraldine runs Creative Writing workshops; is a Tutor for Continuing Education, teaches Creative Writing to Undergraduates at Lancaster University, is currently mentoring six African poets as part of the the Crossing Border’s Project run by Dr. Graham Mort; she organises poetry readings; is an Associate Editor of Poetry Bay www.poetrybay.com and Co-Editor (UK) of Poetryvlog www.poetrvlog.com Geraldine lives in Cumbria and is currently working on her third collection.
